My name is Tamara Constantine. I’m a Registered Provisional Psychologist (supervised by Carly Sharpe) with a Master of Counselling in Applied Psychology from the University of Lethbridge. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Education. Before becoming a psychologist, I worked as an elementary school teacher for several years. During this time, I developed a strong understanding of child mental health and behaviour, and worked closely with families and caregivers.
I’m passionate about supporting adults, teens, and children ages five and up. With children, I utilize a Child-Centred, Synergetic Play Therapy approach. In my work with adults and teens, I draw from a variety of approaches, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Mindfulness, and somatic therapies.
My areas of interest include eating disorders and disordered eating, with a special interest in binge eating disorder, body image, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, burnout, phobias, emotional regulation, people-pleasing, and life transitions.
I’m committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where people feel genuinely seen. My style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, grounded in the belief that meaningful and lasting change happens when individuals feel safe, supported, and understood.
I offer both in-person and virtual sessions throughout the week, with daytime and evening availability, as well as select holiday appointments.
